Milestones: Died: Our beloved sister in Christ, Doretta Smith, July 20, 2015. Our condolences to husband Stan, and friends and family. A Memorial Service will be held at Texada Island United Church, followed by a Celebration of Life at the Royal Canadian Legion on August 8 at 1:15. Doretta was an Elder of our church family for many years and will be sorely missed.

Sandcastle Sunrise Service: August 2, 7:30am at Shelter Point Park near the washrooms. Bring a chair, sunhat, sweater, and a friend! Plan on joining us afterwards for pancake breakfast at the Community Hall. (There will be no service at the church that day.)
Blues & Roots Music Festival. There will be gospel blues at the Ballpark in Gillies Bay on Sunday, August 9 starting at 12 noon.
