Church Notes for May – 2017
“The past is already crumbling to dust, the present even now disintegrating before our eyes. But the future is wide open! The future is the arena in which God is calling us to be more responsive to life than we have ever been before. We make our response in the present moment, deciding in this flashing instant always disappearing before our eyes, what our future will be, and taking the action that will shape the future we have chosen. Past mistakes are therefore irrelevant to those who are defined by their future possibilities, who know that they are always in process of becoming more than they have ever been.” From the Introduction to Worship for an Easter People by Frederick A. Styles.
