Church Notes for November, 2015
Something to Ponder: “The only response to perceived scarcity is to become more generous and more community focused.”  The Right Reverend Jordan Cantwell, Moderator of the United Church of Canada.  (as we ponder our response to the Syrian refugee crisis, I decided to leave this quotation up for another month….)
Sponsor a Syrian Refugee family?  We are considering this major undertaking, and assessing the mood of the community. If you have interest or concerns, please contact Lin Johnson at 604-486-7185.
Global Climate Action March will be held November 29 in concert with groups gathering all over the world to let our leaders know, as they head in to the Paris Talks, that the people want them to get serious about protecting our planet for generations to come. We will gather at the Ball Park in Gillies Bay at 2:30pm and march to the Community Hall for speeches and refreshment.  Please plan to join us.  Call Karen at 604-413-0994 for info.
