Church Notes – July, 2011
Something to ponder.... On spaceship Earth there are no passengers – only crew!
KSE (Kids for Saving Earth) eco day-camp for kids 6-12 years old will be held as before, based at the Community Hall August 15-19. We have lined up some familiar facilitators – and some new faces. We have some great new ideas – some from the kids themselves! We are filling up, and registration is limited! Call Karen: 486-7284, or Linda: 483-1471.
Church Re-fit: BIG THANK YOU to all those wonderful volunteers who have washed and painted and pulled blackberries to freshen up your church in Van Anda. Special thanks to Clive and Roy Butt, Barb Wells, Leigh Hartwell, Jolienne and Stanley Leben, Bruce Magee, and some who prefer not to be named – we know who you are! Thank you one and all. The work that has been done under the gentle guidance of Terry and Dianne Marshall is truly miraculous! This has become an amazing community project. We are so grateful.
Sandcastle Sunrise Service: July 17, 7:30am at Shelter Point Park near the swings. Please join us to worship before the Pancake Breakfast! Bring a chair and a friend, and if it rains we will meet at the Seniors Centre, Old School.
Time Out for Caregivers Group: is in recess for the summer.
Prayer Group: All welcome. For info or to ask for prayers, please call Doretta Smith at 486-
7192 or Diane Grayson at 486-7492. Milestones:
